Are you 55 or better and have a book you’ve always wanted to write? Then this Osher Lifelong Learning Institute workshop is for you! It is open to writers of all levels—from novice to published veterans—and to all genres—from nonfiction to science fiction. In-class writing time and exercises will help you make progress with the guidance of an instructor who is a professional editor.

During the workshop, you will set goals, create a plan and learn tools for keeping your writing flowing. This class covers overcoming writer's block by using character, set, and plot to drive the story. Other topics include outlining your idea, selecting a point of view, and creating a satisfying ending.
